Manipulation of 33:59

O you prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to 'yudneena' (lower)
their outer garments. This is better so that they
will be recognized and not harmed. God is Forgiver, Merciful.
33:59

Some interpreters have misinterpreted the word "yudneena" in 33:59, which means 'to lower', and claimed that it means 'to fully cover'. From this erroneous interpretation they claim that women should cover all their bodies.

God the Most Wise always gives us evidence in the Quran to expose all who manipulate His law to replace it with their non Quranic doctrines and practices.
When we research the word 'yudneena' and its derivatives in the Quran, we find the following uses of the word:

The word 'yadneena' is the verb and it means to lower.
The word 'daniyah' is the adjective and it means low.
And the word 'adna' is also an adjective and it means lower.

1-
The word 'daniyah' (adjective), it means hanging low:

He is the One who brought water down from the sky. With it, We produce plants of all kinds, then with it, We produce green vegetation from which comes out multiple grains. And from the palm trees, from its sheaths, are clusters 'daniyah' (hanging low), also gardens of grapevines, olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Take a look at its fruit when it blossoms and ripens. In that are signs for people who believe. 6:99

The same word
'daniyah' is used in 69:23:

With its ripe fruits 'daniyah' (hanging low). 69:23

2-
The word 'adna' (adjective), it means lower or less:

Do you not see that God knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth? No three people can confer secretly without Him being their fourth, nor five without Him being their sixth, nor 'adna' (less) than that or more without Him being with them wherever they may be. Then He will inform them on the Day of Resurrection of what they had done. Indeed, God is Knowledgeable of all things. 58:7

also

We shall let them taste the 'adna' (lesser) punishment before the greater punishment so that hopefully they will revert. 32:21

3- The word 'dana' (verb), it means move down or lower:

Then he 'dana' (moved down) and hung suspended. 53:8

The above uses of the word 'daniyah', 'adna' and 'dana' all confirm the correct meaning which is: lower. Thus the command to 'yudneena' 33:59 means to lower (the outer garments) and not to fully cover the whole body.

It is clear that God is instructing women to lower their outer garments (dress, skirt, etc) so as to maintain righteousness rather than commanding them to cover all their bodies.
In addition, the command to lower the garments proves that not all the body is to be covered, for how can anyone lower their garment if all their body is covered in the first place?
