Wonderful collection of Quranic words for imploring God
By: K. Van de Weerd and C. Sikkema
When you commemorate your Lord, in the Quran alone,
they turn their backs in aversion. 17:46
It is a sad fact among Muslims today that they use all kinds of words of dua (imploring) that are from sources other than the Quran. It is sad because God has already provided us in the Quran with a large collection of words to use to implore Him with.
If you happen to go to the Masjid Al-Haram for example, you will see most people going around the Kaba and reading from little booklets they have been given that have all kinds of dua words, but not Quranic words. Most of the dua words in these booklets are in fact addressing prophet Muhammad and imploring him to intercede for them on Judgment Day!
Sisters Kate and Cara have compiled this wonderful booklet for all righteous believers who wish to use the words provided by God for us to implore Him with. Such believers are indeed the ones who fit the words, "commemorate your Lord, in the Quran alone" 17:46
