New Information

uncovered in the Quran

Recently, various pieces of information that were kept hidden in the Quran for 14 centuries were decreed by God to be uncovered through His messenger. This role was given to Dr. Rashad Khalifa the messenger of God.

This assignment which God gives to some chosen messengers is outlined in the following verses:

"He is the Knower of the "ghaib" (unseen); He does not reveal the ghaib to anyone. Only to a messenger that He chooses, does He reveal from the past and the future, specific news. This is to ascertain that they have delivered their Lord"s messages. He is fully aware of what they have. He has counted the numbers of all things." 72:26-28

also:

"O people of the scripture, our messenger has come to you to proclaim for you many things you have concealed in the scripture, and to pardon many other transgressions you have committed. A beacon has come to you from God, and a profound scripture." 5:15

Note here that the term "people of the scripture" addressed the Jews and the Christians till the revelation of the Quran. However, and after the revelation of the Quran, it can be said that the term can also be applied to the Muslims since they too have received a scripture (Quran). As a result, verse 5:15 speaks to the Muslims too.

It is believed that Dr. Rashad Khalifa (1935-1990) was given special inspiration to unveil a number of Quranic truths. It must be stressed that all these truths are confirmed and authorised in the Quran, they are not the invention of Dr. Khalifa as some sceptics claim. The details of these truths have been enclosed in the Quran since it was first revealed to Muhammad, yet they were kept hidden by God for a specific wisdom until they were uncovered by His messenger during the last 20 years of his life.

Besides these Quranic issues that were unveiled by Dr. Khlaifa, there were also other Quranic issues that were not so much hidden as much as ignored by the majority of Muslims. It was also the role of Dr. Khalifa to re-emphasised these issues (e.g. the truth of intercession and the correct meaning of devoting all worship practices to God alone).
